I don’t know if I can possibly explain how happy I am that daylight savings time is here! I am beyond ecstatic. I feel like getting to work in the dark and leaving work in the dark has taken a real toll on me. Since the last time change, I have become such a lazy blob. I never want to do anything at night anymore. It’s too cold and dark to leave the house once I am home. Well, no more! I am going to be out and about and it’s going to be great!
Do the short winter days make you depressed?

I’m also excited to have more light when I get home. :)

Short winter days don’t make me crabby. Zero sunlight and 100% cloud-cover during those short winter days makes me crabby, for sure. While I’m happy about longer days, I’m even more happy that sunny days are ahead!

I am happy about those too, but cloudy days don’t affect me as much as darkness so early.

I am SO right there with you! I am so stoked about daylight savings. Maybe I might start running again now? Maybe. Okay maybe not, but here’s the kicker, I can actually THINK about running again.

I HATE this time change. With a passion. I feel like I’ve been walking, talking, dancing, and generallyfunctioning underwater since Monday morning. I need light in the morning to wake up and suddenly it’s gone. The extra hour of light in the evening doesn’t really matter to me one way or the other, but the light in the morning when I’m trying to drag my sorry ass out of bed is OH SO IMPORTANT. I’ve been a grouch for half a week already. It’s like jetlag from hell.

I kind of like the dark in the morning. I like getting up early before the world has woken up and starts going. I feel like that is my time to myself and it’s peaceful. At night, when it’s dark earlier, it’s an excuse for me to leave work and go to bed at 6pm. I love it!

I didn’t really think the winter months had affected me but then today I was thinking about how I’m no longer tired after work like I used to be. I guess I really was ready for the longer, warmer days!
